Trustee Ranger Dismissed From Job At DCCCD

On the heels of a controversial Attorney General opinion siding with DISD Trustee Carla Ranger comes news that Ranger is being dismissed from her job at the Dallas County Community College District.
The Attorney General opinion sided with Ranger and affirmed that trustees had acted improperly when they voted to redefine their terms in office.
As a result of the decision, elections will be held in November to fill 3 board seats.
"It appears someone has ordered my removal," Ranger writes on her blog. "There is also something about it that smells of politics."
Robert Wilonsky at the Dallas Observer has calls into various officials at DCCCD. So far, no word yet.

Board running things
From what I hear, the decision came from "the board" and was NOT happily accepted by Dr. Lassiter and other staff. Shameful.
[Ed Note: I sure would like to talk to someone who could confirm this. Was this discussed publicly?]
Bob Ferguson
Allen....Look at Bob's profile. Links to Circle Ten and DISD !! Not becoming of a reciepant of the Silver Beaver Award !!
Don't just accuse it, prove it
If you can prove it then it may be worth following.
Another TD Industries Connection?
One of the DCCCD trustees is this man Bob Ferguson. He is a managing director of TD Industries. You don't suppose there is a connection do you?
[Ed Note: I don't know that a Board Member has the power to dismiss an employee. But it's an interesting tidbit. Thanks!]
